McHenry County is home

 Donna has deep roots in McHenry County.  It is one of the reasons she loves this community so much.

Donna grew up in Crystal Lake, IL and graduated from Bernotas Junior High (in those days it was called North Junior High)and graduated from Crystal Lake Central High School (in those days it was called Crystal Lake Community High School, CLCHS) where sisters, Jennifer and Tammy also graduated.  

Donna's dad, the late James C. Kurtz, was a respected school social worker for District 47 and 155, and her mom Rosemary was a Spanish teacher for District 155 and later became a State Representative in the County.  Donna and her husband Paul live in Crystal Lake.  Their home is 2 blocks away from the house where Donna was raised.  They are deeply involved in the care of their special needs child, Tavi Jane.
