EXPERIENCE
As a licensed financial advisor, Donna managed millions of dollars in investments. As a corporate manager and leader, she managed multi-million-dollar budgets with large teams and staff. In her most recent assignment, she worked in the private sector as a consultant in the banking industry.
Overall, Donna has 30+ years in the private sector as a corporate financial manager in the automotive, healthcare, and pharma industries. In addition, to managing large teams and multi-million dollar budgets, Donna has years of experience rolling out new techology and building software systems.
Donna's first exposure to the government sector was as an Auditor for the Office of the Illinois Auditor General while working on her MBA at the University of Illinois in Springfield.
Years later she was elected as a McHenry County College Trustee from 2005 to 2010 and as a McHenry County Board Member from 2010 to 2018. During this time, Donna has learned much about government budgeting, tax levies, cutting costs; and the importance of speaking up to serve the public at large.
Donna's skills and experience have been a critical foundation in the advancements achieved in the Treasurer's Office since taking office, December 1, 2022.
Donna's life long commitment to serving McHenry County has been the basis for setting the priorities of the Treasurer's Office, and serving our taxpayers with the respect, accountability, and compassion that they deserve.
